During this course young people will visit UConcept Training Academy, Salons services and other salons.
This course is often support by visiting salons, academies and suppliers.
Course Outline
If you love working with hair and working with people this course is for you!
- Learners will participate in a variety of activities connected to beauty sector.
- Learners will learn how to safely and productively use hair equipment.
- Learners will learn about health and safety
- Learners will learn about personal care
- Learners will also learn about different technique related to nails and beauty
- Techniques covered may include; combing and drying, straightening, curling wand, basic manicure, hand massage.
In this subject, learners will work towards a National 2 unit in Personal Care
Skills Developed through this Course
Young People will have the opportunity to develop and practice a range of skills required to develop life skills or gain employment in the hairdressing and beauty sector.
- Preparing clients and completing the required hairstyle
