Departmental Aims

 •To develop our pupils knowledge and understanding in all aspects of the courses as relevant to the curriculum.

•To allow all pupils the opportunity to maximize their success through practical hands on experience as well as learning theory.

•To allow pupils to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the principles involved in cake decorating, baking and cookery processes.

•To emphasize the need to build up practical skills whilst working in a safe and hygienic manner at all times.

•To prepare young people for the workplace by building confidence through investigative, presentation skills which are an integral part of the Skills for Work Course.

•To give pupils the necessary information to empower them to live as responsible citizens with healthy and fulfilling lives
