Cardinal Winning Secondary - We Are Very Good

'Any Head Teacher would be proud to be told by the HMIE that his young people are achieving very well and that they are given valuable supports to help them in their life after school.  But, I feel particularly proud that in Cardinal Winning we have created a community where young people feel happy, thrive and are healthy and feel valued.  In Cardinal Winning we first of all ensure children enjoy school, have fun and grow in confindence.  We then develop the skills they need for life, especially independent life.  And most important of all we develop their vocational skills to help them gain employment or achieve positive destinations.'

Mr G McDonald HT

'As Chair of the Parent Council of Cardinal Winning School for the last 5 years I have been fortunate to watch not only my own child, but many others grow their social and life skills in a structured but caring environment setting them on a firm road for their futures.  My daughter would much rather be at school than at home!'

Mrs Anne MacKinnon (Chair, Parent Council)

'Before I came to Cardinal Winning I was nervous, anxious, struggled learning new things and meeting new people.  Now I am confident, have developed new skills and I can help other people with their problems.  Instead of being worried and confused myself I can now help other people when they feel this way.

Aidan Logan (CW Pupil)
